Thinking of You Card and Altered Vase

Hello, today I have two projects to share with you.  First is an easy card  that looks like it took a lot of time to make, but didn't.  :)

Supplies:  Robin's Nest Papers and Dew Drops
                 Dollar Store Sentiment sticker
Dimensional foam adhesive also Dollar Store
                 Ranger Archival Jet black ink
                 Sizzix steel die "Flourish"
optional: glass decorative stones and battery operated tea light (Dollar Tree)

1. Make a square card about 6" x 6" from black card stock.

2. Cover front of card with lighter coloured paper about 6" x 5.5"

3. With Red paper(Same size as gold paper)  and Sizzix Steel Die cut " Flourish "  make front overlay.  Note  here we are using the stencil part left of the die cut and we keep the actual Flourish for another project. Create a shadow effect with a dumber and some Black Ink along the edges

4. Adhere the red panel over the gold color panel using dimensional foam squares or strips.

5. Glue diamond shaped and round shaped Dew Drops.  Apply sentiment to bottom of card on black portion.

The second project I have for you today is something I made for Halloween.  I thought that it could inspire you to make something similar for another Holiday as well.

Supplies:  Robins' Nest Papers and Dew Drops
Dollar store piece of Jute cord
                 My stash ribbon scraps
Wellbound glue, and Hot Glue from Home Depot
                 Ranger Archival Jet Black ink
Tools used:  Creative Memories Border Maker with Fence cartridge, (both no longer sold)
Sizzix Big Shot and Sizzix steel die:  In Bloom Corner Flourish

       1.  Using Sizzix die and Herringbone paper from RN cut out a Haunted House and a bat.

2. Ink the edges and windows of the house to give it a more haunted look.

             3. With the border maker cut out a fence from black card stock.

                4.  Using hot glue adhere the fence first to the bottom of the vase , and adhere the house
                      over the fence.

                5.   Apply Dew Drops with some glue that will stick to glass.

                6.  Finally, tie some ribbons and cords to the base of the vase.  I also added some black
glass stones and a battery operated tea light.

By the way the beautiful papers and Dew Drops are available from The Robins'Nest.

Thanks for stopping by.
